As 2020 comes to an end, we can’t help but look back at what this year has taught us. It’s been a difficult year in many aspects, but we are proud to celebrate how far we have come and everything we have managed to achieve this year. Take a look below at some of our highlights of 2020:
We have launched our biggest Temple, by Bo & Luca collection yet
In February, we launched our much anticipated S/S 2021 Temple collection. We took a step back with this collection to listened to what our brides needed. The styles in this collection speak to a wider audience but still included Bo & Luca signature design elements such as romantic sleeves and necklines. A Bo & Luca first, we have included new fabrications, including soft Italian tulle, French Chantilly lace, and intricately beaded floral lace.
We created an exclusive new earring collection
At the beginning of the year, we created an exclusive earring range, all handcrafted from 24k rolled gold and genuine semi-precious stones, such as white quartz crystal, opalite, and baroque freshwater pearls.
We opened our new Cape Town studio
One of the most exciting things that happened in 2020 was the opening of our new Cape Town showroom. Situated at De Waal House in the quirky suburb of Woodstock, the artistic hub of Cape Town. We have a devoted team of stylists ready to help brides find their dream wedding gown.

Temple by Bo & Luca is now shoppable through Moda Operandi
Temple by Bo & Luca comes to Moda Operandi through an exclusive bridal trunk show. We are honoured to have a hand-selected collection of our gowns available to purchase through their online platform. Experience our gowns on Moda Operandi’s Wedding Shop until 31 January 2021.
Introducing Civil, by Bo & Luca
2020 has brought a lot of change to the wedding industry. Because of this, brides are opting for smaller civil ceremonies instead of larger, guestlist heavy, traditional weddings. This rising trend means our brides are looking at more understated gowns that are easy-wearing, sparking the beginnings of our newest collection, Civil by Bo & Luca. Think shortened hemlines and modern silhouettes with nods to some of the Bo & Luca team’s favorite civil celebrations from the 70s.
