Aida Bride – Catherine & Mark
Overlooking the lake at Lough Erne Resort, Enniskillen, Mark and Catherine were married surrounded by the love of 100 of those nearest and dearest to them.
The two originally met online and on their romantic trip to Iceland beside a frozen lake, they were engaged while it was snowing.
The bride said that on her wedding day, “Walking down the aisle surrounded by the people I love was a special moment,” and she did so to ‘This I promise you’.
“I love the words of this song and it was the perfect one to start our married life to.”

Finding the gown of her dreams took Catherine a while, but she had an image in her head and continued to search! When she eventually found the perfect gown, she said,
“I knew immediately it was the one.”
She wore our classic AIDA gown and paired it with beautiful pearl earrings purchased from Etsy. Catherine remarked, “No other jewellery was required as my dress was so detailed.”

HAIR & MAKEUP
My hair was done beautifully by my regular hairdresser. It was curled and done in a natural up-style to show off the back of my dress.
My makeup was done by Toni Kelly.
FAVOURS
We donated to NI Air Ambulance and had a helicopter Pin for each guest. It was a cause close to our hearts.
FLOWERS & BOUQUETS
My flowers were a mixture of pinka and creams. My flowers were mixed with some pampas grass which went beautifully with my dress.
WEDDING CAKE
Our wedding cake was two tiers. It was absolutely delicious. It was decorated with flowers similar to my own flowers and was lightly tinted with the colours of my bridesmaid dresses.
FOOD & DRINKS
We had a Prosecco and Guinness drinks reception as our guests were arriving. Our meal was 5 courses and our main was a choice of chicken or beef.
SPECIAL WEDDING SONGS
‘This I promise you’ was played as I was walking down the aisle and ‘Can’t help falling in love’, sang live by our wedding band which was a beautiful moment.
CEREMONY & RECEPTION DÉCOR
Our function room was stunning. It required little decoration as it was already so beautiful. The room was overlooking the lake and was decorated with beautiful flowers.
HONEYMOON
Unfortunately, due to covid, we haven’t been able to travel too far but hoping to go away next summer.
