Atelier KU – South Korea, Asia
For the first time ever, our exclusive Bo & Luca gowns are now available at a retailer located in South Korea, Asia. We are thrilled to introduce Atelier Ku, Korea’s top trend-leading brand as our new partner. They’ve hand-picked our unique pieces to showcase within their beautiful space and to join their collection of world-renowned gowns. Our ANGELICA, OSLO, CHARLIE, SKYE and the AUBREY cape, RENO top, RIO skirt, as well as the rose gold, short CELINE robe will be stocked amongst their curated collection for the brides that love slow-luxury, hand-beaded, quality gowns.
We chatted to Atelier Ku’s President, Kuma, to learn more about her business, and were fortunate enough that she mentioned a few of her favourite vendors. Making sure everything is to your taste can be overwhelming, never-mind finding a professional to capture your most special day. In case you haven’t happened upon the perfect person to do this in the most detailed way, we’d recommend st.ggot.
If you’ve been searching for your dream venue in South Korea that includes catering and florist services all in one, we wouldn’t hesitate to suggest getting in touch with the organisers over at Josun Palace for luxury settings and arrangements! Don’t panic if you also haven’t found the perfect hair and makeup artist, @kimchungkyung_
As our interview continued, Kuma took more time to delve deeper into the details of what her store is really about. Read on to step further into the world of ATELIER KU.

When it came to the name of the boutique, Kuma explained that “Atelier Ku” was derived from her family name. The meaning behind this is to create beauty, which we felt was beyond apt for an alluring space like theirs! Not only was Kuma drawn to the bridal industry through the inspiration of translating her name into a tangible medium, but she emphasised the dedication she has in helping others, “I love meeting and helping people who are preparing to start a new life with their partner.”
The radiant lighting and elegance of the space is one of the main attractions for brides who wish to visit the store and Kuma added that her favourite part is their grand chandelier, and fitting room. Apart from its beauty, it’s Atelier Ku’s personnel that really inspires brides to experience their bridal fittings here. Kuma’s motivation to go to work each day exists through her passion and joy found in the ability to help brides look and feel their best.
With all the brides she’s styled over the years, we wanted to know what advice Kuma would give to brides looking for their wedding gown:
“Always choose the dress that suits you rather than just following trends.”

We wanted to know how Kuma felt about introducing Bo & Luca to her boutique and how brides generally respond when new gowns are showcased to them. After speaking about this she said that she always finds that the bride looks even more gorgeous than she could’ve ever imagined when fitting new pieces on them, as the gowns come to life. The AUBREY cape was the Bo & Luca piece that Kuma was most excited to see on her rails and she went into what drew her to our brand, “The detailed and luxurious fabric that cannot be found among our existing brands here in South Korea. Bo & Luca’s unique beauty fascinates our clients.”
Running a business is no easy feat, and we wanted to know what Kuma would tell her younger self prior to starting her bridal business:
“Always be prepared and ready to embrace new and spontaneous ideas or challenges!”
It’s no surprise that ATELIER KU was our first choice in finding and working with our first stockist in South Korea, and we cannot wait to forge an even stronger connection within their community! We are so grateful to Kuma for her time and commitment towards working with us. Here’s to new partnerships and opportunities.
