Juante and Stefano exchanged vows at the Conservatory, a gorgeous venue situated in the winelands region of South Africa. For this South African couple the composition of the beautiful mountain backdrop, green surroundings and minimal interior architecture was THE PERFECT SETTING IN WHICH TO SAY THEIR VOWS!
FOOD & BEVERAGES //
Food was one of the most important elements for us. Both Stefano and I come from an Italian background and this means people can not be left hungry (ever). We had a harvest table and canapes after the ceremony and then a family style meal for mains. We loved the idea of everyone sharing food on the table rather than getting one plated meal.
We went to Thailand on Honeymoon and it was just wonderful. We planned the trip together and made sure we had lots of time to relax in the sun with cocktails in hand.
GIFTS REGISTRY //
We had a gift registry with a local online store, YuppieChef. It was so easy to setup and the gifts were all delivered to us, wrapped with a personal message, when we arrived back from honeymoon.
MEMORABLE MOMENT //
There were so many moments that were memorable but one that stands out is when we arrived back from photos and were waiting to go into the venue. We were sitting just outside with a drink and could hear the guests enjoying themselves inside. It was such a surreal moment where I thInk we bOth realised just how great the day was and how everything we had planned came together so well. It was also so nice to have a little breather, completely alone with no eyes on us, to regroup before the reception.
ADVICE FOR BRIDES-TO-BE //
Be true to yourself on your wedding day. If it doesn’t feel like you, don’t do it. I feel like the whole day reflected Stefano and me so well and I am so grateful for that! We had a coordinator, Tracy from TRUNK events, for the day who helped put our vision into motion. She made sure the day ran smoothly and I am so thankful that she was there for the journey. I would really recommend getting a coordinator for the day as this allows you to relax and enjoy the wedding and not worry about the finer details.
