On her journey to finding her own wedding gown, Cassandra, originally a self-confessed jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, hoped to find something that felt ‘bridal-inspired’ rather than traditionally bridal. After searching and landing up with a dress that didn’t feel like her, she started researching wedding designers who were not represented in Sydney. Thus, began the dream of having her own studio for brides in a similar position that she had found herself in.

Sunday Eve was named in honour of her beautiful baby girl, Eve, who was born on Sunday the 20th of October, “I wanted the name of the studio to be something that had personal meaning, so it felt right to name the studio after her.”

Her beautiful store is the exclusive stockist of our Eva, India, and Winston gowns in Australia. The India wedding dress is Cassandra’s personal favourite, sans bubble sleeves, and she also carries the elegant Kina and Greta slip dress in her store. Located within the retail hub of Paddington, Sydney, Sunday Eve’s breathtaking loft style space showcases its pieces beneath airy, high ceilings and an abundance of natural light. Owner, Cassandra describes the store as spacious, relaxed and welcoming. Her favourite part of Sunday Eve is the fitting room upstairs in the loft space with the light pouring in perfectly, “During appointments we play music whilst guests sip on champagne.”

Cassandra prioritises fun within this alluring space so that brides can feel as comfortable as possible, allowing for them to make decisions that speak to their true selves and style. She advises brides to simply, “Stay in the moment…” on their special day and when it comes to the journey of finding your dream gown, she says, “The more people, the more opinions. It might sound like fun to bring a crowd of people along to your appointments but trust me, less is more.”

With each day, Cassandra’s passion for her business grows, along with her compassion for her brides who she strives to create a relaxed and supportive environment for, so she can encourage them to be themselves and explore different styles;

“Shopping for a wedding dress can be stressful! Especially if dress shopping is so far out of your wheelhouse that you don’t even know where to start… Being able to find the perfect dress for our brides is honestly the best feeling!”
