Your wedding day scent has the power to forever remind you of your wedding day for years to come. The fragrance you choose is a reflection of your personal style and will become a cherished memory. Our team suggests wearing a scent that feels like your best self but elevated and consider trying a scent that you haven’t bought before. This way memories of your friends and family celebrating your special day will be exclusive to that specific scent. Always test the scent before buying it to see how it will react to your body temperature and oils.
We asked four of our Bo & Luca brides to share their wedding day scents and the memories attached to their individual scents.
May Martin – ROSA bride (& owner of Ginger + Poppy)
It’s quite an old school scent! My fragrance was actually given to me by my Mum which is one she has worn for most of her life. It was never planned but she gave it to me with one of her oldest and most treasured necklaces she bought back in the early 80’s. The scent is so reminiscent of my childhood because I remember smelling it when she was getting ready to go out for dinner or for drinks in the evening with my Dad (who sadly passed before our wedding), so it is a very strong and nostalgic memory. It was lovely to have that subtle connection on the day and go into my ‘new’ life with my husband!
The perfume is Jean Paul Gaultier Classique for women.

Bree Le Roux – PRIMROSE bride
I wore Runaway by Karen Walker. It has the most beautiful scent – exotic and sensual, with whispers of Jasmine (my favourite smell in the world). I love the way it deepens on the warmth of the skin, the scent just gets better and better as you wear it. I chose Runaway because it’s my signature scent and I simply couldn’t stray away from it. I have never had more compliments on perfume from people before – ever. So it was an easy choice for me.

Elís Miller – FRIDA bride
For the big day, I wore Chanel chance eu tendre. It was an easy choice because it is my go-to scent (actually the only perfume I wear). When deciding what scent I wanted for the wedding, I knew I wanted to feel comfortable and feel like myself. Having a familiar scent for your wedding day is really calming.

Camilla Poulsson – LOU bride
I wore Rose 31 by Le Labo. I’ve always been drawn to roses and worn rose fragrances; this is one of my favourite scents as it’s both floral, feminine and demure but also has depth and complexity to it. My bridesmaids gave it to me as a gift on my wedding day with my new name printed on it, it was so special.
